What people are saying…

Look at the graduation trend (students with disabilities) in one of the districts that has been implementing the Student Centered Scheduling process systemically.

“Toby’s student centered scheduling process supported our District in moving from conceptualization to action. He has a non-threatening and productive way of challenging mindsets that helped shift staff perspectives while increasing motivation and confidence during the change process. In one year, we were able to increase the percentage of students with IEPs who are educated in the general education environment for most of their day from 56.8% to 64%. We also are working to address a disproportionate percentage of Black and Latinx students receiving their services in more restrictive settings. Since last school year we were able to increase the percentage of our Black and Latinx students who are educated for most of their day in the general education classroom by a little over 8%. It has been exciting to see these quantifiable results in a short time and we know this will translate into improved learning outcomes. We have more work to do and we are bringing Toby back … to help us continue our journey towards an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.”

- RD: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, District 65 (Illinois)

“Toby provided incredible guidance and support in helping my staff to see the power of inclusion as a fundamental core of our daily practice. Toby encouraged a shift in thinking and challenged the status quo. Because of Toby, inclusion is a core practice in our school with general education, ELD staff, and special service providers. Together we are stronger.”

— CP: Elementary School Principal, Thompson School District (Colorado)

“The power of Toby's guidance and belief in our team has significantly impacted the entire Prairie Heights community.  Toby comes alongside schools to empower individuals to make student first decisions.  After working with Toby, we have seen tremendous growth moving us from a priority improvement school to a school of performance.”

— SK: Middle School Principal, District 6 (Colorado)

“Working with Toby is the challenge our team needed to truly put students at the center of our scheduling process. When we begin with our learners' needs rather than the technical confines of our building's organization, it forces us to think more critically and thoughtfully.”

— JM: Elementary Principal, Evanston/Skokie District 65 (Illinois)

“I can't thank you enough for all that you have done to support and assist our schools/teams to develop student-centered systems that will allow greater opportunities and positive outcomes for students with disabilities - your influence in 27J will live on for years to come - THANK YOU!! .”

— MG: Director of Special Education, 27J (Colorado)

“I have worked with Toby for several years.  He keeps students as the focus, always!  Toby has supported me in using data to focus on improved outcomes for all students and using scheduling to ensure that all students have the services/interventions they need to improve and succeed.  Toby has created easy to implement strategies which improve outcomes for the whole child.  Toby is truly a great advocate for students who are forgotten or marginalized.

Thanks for all of your support and insight.”

— JR: Director of Special Education, D49 (Colorado)
